Trying to offer up a full oil filter to Bonnie whilst upside down on floor. I would use mi lift But mi Tbirds having major surgery Oil change done, checked K & N filter, remove Thumb knobs on seat and side panels and changed to allen screws so Johnny Foreigner resists temptation to borrow the chrome side panels (They really do look nice, and be interesting riding home with no seat.) A new front tyre today and she's ready for take off.

Wheels taken off of the Daytona 1000 and took off the brake discs, just got to take the wheel bearings out and get the tyres off and it will be off for powder coating with the rear hangers and then she will be back on the road again looking all done

Took the Seat hump off of the T595 to Altamura in Camberley today to be resprayed who do some really nice work Bikes - Altamura Concepts.
The previous owner didn't lock it properly and it ended up getting scratched whilst bouncing down the road.
When the paint guy saw the bike the first thing he said was 'Ah the devils paint'. Strontium Yellow is a right pain to match I found out but will get it back in a couple of weeks and we will see how it goes.

Front wheel off Bonnie and down for new tyre, disgusting greasy mess inside old one meant previous had put anti puncture stuff in, not recommended these days I believe, thought to spoil balance. No probs eh. Wrong, two of us scratched our heads re how front fork is put in correct place on spindle. Reading instructions, tighten to recommended torque, jump up and down on bike fork suspension to "centralise it" then, tighten the allen screw at fork bottom. mmmmm it isn't where it was but there yer go, surely a correct spacer would be far better method.... humphhh

Have taken the wheels off of the Daytona 1000 to Goldburn finishers in Bordon for Powder Coating in Bordon to be made all shiny and new looking. Always like going there as you get a full tour of the place and see what other stuff he is doing on other bikes.

    http://www.goldburnfinishers.co.uk/motor_bike_finishing.php

Have replaced the rear light on the T595 which has been a bit tricky as the previous one has been damaged and had to get creative installing the new one but got there in the end, got the new one off of E Bay which is a LED unit and is very easy to install just a matter of plugging one of the light bulb holders into the unit and your away :upyeah:

Hoping to get a tank cover and tomorrow fitting 2 new coils. On the old legend

So far I have had the wheels painted fitted and got painted thunderbird air box covers they fit stright onto a legend no trouble. Fitted the better spark plugs which improved the starting over the standard plug.

Very Sunny day, finished work at lunchtime, went from Ayr through Castle Douglas, through Galloway Forest, on to Port William, back up the A75 from Stranraer to Ayr, 150 miles round trip, pic taken between Ballantrae and Girvan :)

Spoke to Ivan at National Triumph and brought a seat hump off of him for the T595.
Went and picked up the original one from the paint shop before they had started on it so have saved myself about £100 today

Also booked Saturday to go down to Bognor Regis to spend the day with Clive Wood on a Hinckley 1st generation engine day.

More or less Clive is a bit of a legend when it comes to Hinckley Triumphs and he built a lot of race bikes when working at Jack Lilley motorcycles.
So will be spending the day learning how to strip and work on the old engines as well as fault finding ect.

    Should be brillant :upyeah:

Just fitted my new Mototwin stainless silencers. WOW ! what a glorious noise it makes now
Will add pics later, its still covered in greasy fingerprints at the moment. Had a quick 5 mile spin, and the jetting feels pretty much spot on, which is a bonus. I thought I was gonna have to fit larger mains...

The Bonnie went in for an MOT first thing this morning at Alan Lear Motorcycles Winchester. Managed to pass whilst I had breakfast at a local cafe then a quick trip down to Fareham and back on some nice empty roads.
Found my local Triumph dealer "Destination Triumph" - good to know, thought the nearest was in Reading.

Took the Sprint for its MOT. Pleased to say it passed but with an advisory on my rear brake pads being worn more on one side than the other. Oh well, something to do on a nice sunday afternoon, lol.

Went down to Bognor Regis yesterday to spend a day with Clive Wood and others for a course on the engine and common mechanical issues with the T3 Triumphs.
Fantastic Day and I have learned a hell of a lot and would happily take on a sprag clutch replacement now.
Hopefully he is doing a T5 course soon which I would also attend.

Out for my first ever ride on mine today! Well happy with it, I'm so glad I didn't go for the r6 now.
It runs like a dream and corners like it's on rails, can't believe how fast she is too.
I'm one happy bunny at the minute lol
