For those in Canada and the north-eastern U.S. you may have heard of "Friday The 13th in Port Dover" (north shore of Lake Erie). Yeah, the bad boy, "Friday the 13th" name tends to draw the Hogs, but this is a quite an event for any biker... every Friday the 13th... this year more than 100,000 bikes (police estimate) in a town with a regular population of 5-6000 folks. I counted 3 Triumphs (that I saw) - 4 if you include my T-Bird and 999,996 Harlys... but lots of fun and worth the experience (at least once)... lots of individuals as expected when 10 g's of bikes get together.
But you are supposed to ride the bike not carry it on a trailer :smile:ü Looks an interesting meet up.
Agree, but it is 560 km from Ottawa to St. Catherines Ontario where we stayed overnight... the route takes us directly through the middle of Toronto, one of the worlds largest cities in terms of area and accident related congestion so... we trailered there and rode the bike the hour and half to Port Dover.... as you know, distances between destinations in North America can be considerable and sometimes very boring (long straight thruways) so trailering is a great option for some of us "pensioners". <grin>
Great You Tube cut Steve (have to use this one myself) .... apparently he is a fixture at this event - even saw him interviewed during a TV show on the event done two years ago... that said, our wives didn't want any "part" of him - can't say I blame them:upyeah:
