Anyone with "old skool" round headlights running LED Daymakers at all ? Have seen them advertised but wanted to know if they are worth the swop.

Seem to be plug and play but wanted to check

    Opinions / reviews appreciated

    Thanks All

I have seen those and I don't think there is anything wrong with them. You just need to ensure you grab it from a reputable source. I guess it boils down to individual taste ;)

Someone in this forum might have it and come along to give you more info

Here in Perth WA , JCS sell two different sizes, 6" and 7" LED head lights , they are simple PNP , just swap them out and away you go, they are expensive though possibly on par with genuine Triumph head lamps.

They look good and everyone I have spoken to about them state they are a really good improvement on standard lights !

There are several threads on the forum. Use the search function and just use H1 or H4, LED, etc. as your search terms. There was one recently (can't find it) about putting them into a T-Bird and it worked well. Based on that write-up, I bought the bulbs, but won't be putting them in until I have time to tighten up my steering bearings.

I got a set from ebay, they need the cooling fins on the back trimmed down as they don't fit very well only fitted them yesterday and haven't rode the bike yet to see what they're like

Well .. went ahead and did it ...£70 the pair on good old fleabay and all I can say is WOW ... pure white light that really does light up the road .. and never had so many cars move over for me when filtering .. even in bright sunlight

Took a whole 5 minutes a side to fit .. genuine plug and play H4 fitments

A quick before and after pic as well

Would those fit a 2005 speed?
I've got one-sided xenon at present, and don't like that so much.

If your headlight is standard 6 or 7 inches yes there are led lights that are plug and play , just measure and shop on eBay .

Was there any issue fitting them?
Rim size, trimming down cooling fins etc. Or was it really out with the old and in with the new?
Looking at 5.75" for my 2010 Speed Triple

Was any modification needed to install these lamps?

Video is an install on a Harley but the principal is the same

Have ordered a pair off Amazon
Wisamic 5.75" £45 with same day delivery!

    Will do some install photos

    Highly rated on Amazon
    Specifies Triumph fitment
    9x Osram LED per unit
Has holes that can opened in the rear heatsink to get rid of misting which is a known issue with these type of lights

Doesn't have a function for the daylight running light so that cable would need wrapping and tucking away
