Gear Indicator

    stripplemont is correct.

    This line from the fleabay advert is the important bit.

    NOTE:If you motorcycle have Gear Display , you can refit,If didn't have Gear display before,need check if the engine has no reserved jacks,if has, can refit, if didn't have,can't reft.

    In other words if you're replacing a broken gear indicator then fine. Or, if you don't have a gear indicator but the bike has an interface for one then fine. But if the bike doesn't have an interface for a gear indicator you're buggered.

    Now for the next question........
    Does anyone know if my non ABS 2011 speed triple has the aforementioned interface?

    Does your bike have a gear indicator now?
    If not the only way is a GIPro. It has the interface built into it already. It plugs into the OBD socket (On Board Diagnostics). It translates data from the ECU (gear position) and displays in the GIPro as a gear position digit. :confused:;)

    No, it doesn't.
    Thanks for clearing that up, Strip. Not bothered about paying that sort of price. I'll keep trying to find 7th.
