    Wondering whether anyone can help.
We have the 1050 '59 reg and it has been stood in the garage for 18 months due to ill health. We are wanting to sell it but have found out today that it just won't start.
Charged the battery and changed the fuses, but it's just dead.
    Any ideas?

A little more information might help others to diagnose your problem. Is the motor turning over with the starter? If not, the contacts in your starter switch could be oxidized, or your battery could just be dead since it sat for 18 months - in spite of being charged. Is it making any noises (relays, etc.)? Did you put fresh gas in it? Do the lights work? It's probably a good idea to try and jump it from a good battery before you do anything else.

    Hi
No, the dash is not lighting up. There is nothing happening at all.

Based on that and since you checked the fuses, try a battery jump first and then start looking at the ignition switch and kill switch. Over that period of time, it is possible (not highly likely) for the contacts to get gummed-up or oxidized so they don't complete the circuit.
