Laguna Seca is a great track,we went to the MotoGP there in 2010 as part of a road trip,Bike racing in USA is not near as big as it is in Europe, hence the race ticket was really cheap plus you didn't have to pay any extra for a paddock pass,we saw all the riders and got quite a few photos..the majority of the Americans that were there didn't have a clue who the riders were, apart from Rossi & Nicky Haydon of course...I think they stopped racing there due to costs
He needs to learn to settle. In Texas he could have finished fourth, but kept pushing, running wide and generally over riding that bike. Was obvious he was gonna bin it for the 3 laps prior to it actually happening. Dovi did just that, and leads the championship!
Classic statement! Your ambition exceeds your ability! Casey Stoner to Rossi. Never a truer word. Do we remember the "racing incident" ( race controls opinion not mine) with poor old Vale up to his underhanded tricks once again. Marquez, Gibernau etc!
Pay attention at the back! I never implied anything negative about Rossi's undoubted talent or the number of titles he has won, my point was and still is Rossi will get away with things that other riders will not because he is Rossi. The man is a legend whether you like or dislike him, I can take or leave him but I do not like the mind games he plays. That is my opinion which I will always defend. It was two by the way one of which was on the first Ducati which nobody seems to be able to ride consistently well at this time.
Poor Cal & Lorenzo & Dovi & Pedrosa & Rins & Luthi & Espargaro !! Marquez will be happy though. Just a little bit of clarification on Rossi,he has said himself that the competition in MotoGP is much greater now than when he won his titles (he last won the title in 2009),and that he is riding better now than ever which i totally agree with,so the amount of titles won can be a bit misleading,he was very lucky that he entered MotoGP in an era when all the greats were no longer riding, that said he is a great rider and he would probably be in my all time top 10. If Stoner didn't retire I'm sure he would have won more titles. The only reason Rossi changed to Yamaha was because Honda would not let him take all the profit from his merchandise which seems fair enough to me as they were his employers, as to the Yamaha being a terrible bike when Rossi took it over that's not entirely true, in 2002 when Biaggi was on the Yamaha he had 2 wins and 8 podiums which doesn't sound like a bad bike to me ,Biaggi left to join Honda in 2003 and Checa took over at Yamaha..that's where he got the Careless Chuca nickname because he crashed so much on the Yamaha it's not that the Yamaha was any worse from the previous year just that it was Checa riding it! i was a big Rossi fan from the start of his career but since he has had serious competition I'm not keen on the way he has conducted himself on and off the track
Race direction find cause of 3 bike crash in Jerez. After a thorough investigation it has come to light that Pedrosa inadvertently rode Marc Marquez’ bike - which had the wrong number decals stuck on it. Dani said “I couldn’t control it, it just kept aiming for other riders, all race long. I did my best but in the end the bike got its way, its fucking mental.” Japanese HRC sticker putter onner Fo Kitup commented “I am so sorry for make Jorge and Dovi fall off. I put on 26 instead of 93 and tiny Spanish child make a big a crash into fast as fuck red bikes.” Marquez, who was riding the unfamiliar bike of his team mate, uncharacteristically didn’t make contact with any other riders during the race. He is thought to be extremely upset.
Funny how everyone has a different take on these things. I would apportion blame: Lorenzo 50 Dani 35 Dovi 15 on the basis that Lorenzo was marninally slower than Dovi as their tyre choices resolved. Dovi struggled to pass but was entitled to try and cleanly made his move but then overshot and was effectively out of the frame: marginal misjudgement. Lorenzo got pushed wide and squared the corner without regard to anyone following: slight red mist Dani saw a gap and went for it.....just as it disappeared: over ambition given Lorenzo’s likely route back. It happened very quickly so can be fairly counted as a racing incident. The bit that most mystifies is Dani complaining about Race Direction on one hand but not asking for any sanctions to be applied on the other. So what did he want? It is almost as if he wished for personal exoneration - because it was down to Marquez’ bike?
yeah totally agree, winning the motogp championship is a huge achievment,i just think the media went ott about the Yamaha being a crap bike..it made for a good story though
yep there is always what ifs..well deserved though, near the end of last season he was looking like he could get a win,bit sticky start to this season but he had lead a few races but once his front tyre started to wear it just coudn't cope with his fast corner speed
unbelievable save for marquez again in Fp4..guys in commentary coudn't believe it,they are saying Alpinestars will have to develop new sliders for the front of the knee too!!...Lorenzo on fire again, great to see
