Can the assembled wise folk tell me the latest thinking on replacing a knackered standard reg/rec on my Daytona 955i? Came to a halt today, fortunately not too far from home not miles away.......
Is it still to find a Yam/Kwak MOSFET on evil bay as was the case when I last did it? Or has some bright spark come up with a better ready made off the shelf solution?

Thanks for the suggestions. Just spotted on the Electrexworld site that they don't recommend fitting lithium batteries to bikes. Maybe that what fried my reg/rec??

About 30+ yrs ago I replaced one on my Suzuki GS1200. I bought it from JC Whitney, just a generic that I had to use the old plugs on. If I remember correctly, the price difference was about 90% savings, over Suzuki part. End of problem.

Have gone for Electrex's latest MOSFET reg/rec. However, wiring on bike seems to have been modified a little :(. Oh the joy of bike ownership!
