    Hi Guys

I've just come across a bit of an issue.
While cleaning my bike this weekend, using some Autoglym Shampoo and Conditioner and Noodle Mit, the paint on my frame started to flake off!
It almost looked like it hadn't been primed. Like there was no bond between the bare frame and the paint.

Anybody else had a similar problem?
It's only 2 or 3 smallish bits that have come off just now, but looks ugly and will only get worse.

My bike's a 2012 Sprint GT and the frame is a very dark matt grey. Sort of charcoal.

I'm assuming the only solution is a complete frame repaint and this would involve a complete bike strip???

Any advice as always much appreciated

    Hello and welcome.
I had a similar problem on the frame where the panniers sit, around the two black plastic slip on caps.
i use a permanent black marker pen to touch up the flaky parts, it took a couple of trial runs with different pens in hidden parts of the frame to find the perfect colour match.
I then smeared the affected part with a thin layer of grease...
i now dont notice it any more and the eyesore is a past memory...
good luck, make sure the pen is permanent and to test patches in a non visible part if the frame...
