Hi I have a 2003 daytona 600 and the stator has gone, a new triumph one is £540 but can't really afford that but don't want to get a cheap one and have it go wrong within a month any experience with this bike, any help would be appreciated, thanks
Thanks but that thread really only addresses the rr replacement after a recommended stator replacement
Since the likelihood is that a fine wire has broken you can get it repaired. http://www.westcountrywindings.co.uk/applications.htm Give them a ring.
I havnt had that problem I have read about it on Triumph Rat check it out and let me know how you do.
www.electrexworld.co.uk should be able to help you. Bloody sight cheaper than Triumph when I needed their assistance ('02 Daytona 955i CE reg/rec and stator - dealer sourced and fitted for less than the cost of the Triumph parts alone.)!
Thanks my only worry is that a friend of mine fitted cheaper one and lasted 2 weeks and fried starter solenoid rr and cheaper stator but have had a look and they come with 12 months warranty so gonna give it a go
I used the electrex , so far so good only done 4500 miles since I changed it though. You will need a gasket from world of triumph and you will need to change your rr as well. Don't buy a cheap one off eBay as there a waste of time. Get a upgraded version.
Thanks yeah bought mosfet rr online have that now just waiting on stator also bought gasket from world of triumph thanks for the reply
