Engine Management Light

Hi,
I have had mudguards and side panel re-sprayed on my 2008 America. Obviously i had to disconnect rear light etc to send off to sprayers.
Have had them returned and put back on, bike looks amazing but engine light stays on when i start it. The bike sounds good and idles fine, I have read that i need to do the 3 start cycle to reset light.
Has anyone done this and do you think that it is something more serious.

Three starts hot to cold should clear it mate

 

Yup, 3 starts cold to hot. Always the first thing to do if it stays on then start investigating.

 

Cheers guys, will take it for a spin tomorrow as weather is suppossed to be dry.
Will let you know if it works after the three hot to cold starts.

 

Hi guys just to let you know the engine management light has gone out, but i only took for one spin to get the engine hot. Is this ok as i thought it needed 3 hot to cold starts.

Sounds like it’s reset itself
Just keep an eye on it
