Son collected his new steed at the weekend, a thing of beauty to my eye's I could very well be tempted.
I reckon Kawasaki have got it so right with the aesthetics of this. If it rides half as good as it looks it'll be awesome. Love it.
Very nice indeed and in the best colour I likey very much. I know it would have bumped the price up but if Kawasaki had put a 4 into 2 system on, it would have balanced the left side and rear view.
Nice, I rode a mates Z900 back in the early 80's and it was streets ahead of my Honda CB750K, would like a go on the modern version, might get me a test ride...
I would in a flash but given my short legs and dodgy hips it's not something with it's high seat I'd be willing to chance tbh. They do offer a lower seat but at £280 it makes for an expensive test ride sadly Ride safe. TBB
DOREMI are developing a 4 into 4 system for it, I think it's a bit of mish mash of parts available for the original Z1. They only have it in black as a prototype at present but as I understand they will produce a chrome version, and at £2k I hope it lasts a little longer than the originals did
Lots have said the same, but as it's a monoshock it does show a lot of daylight between the underseat and rear wheel. I heard a lot of fellas bemoaning it at the NEC cos it didn't have this and that, but at the end of the day it's a homage and not a replica. DOREMI also have a twin shock conversion in the pipeline.
The rear ends not too bad, it's the tank that's the worst bit. It looks like it's perched on top of a frame tube that's not really designed for it, it just needs to be 2-3 inches lower. They've made a good stab at it, but doesn't quite work for me.
Good looking bike Gary & if it does what you say it does for you then that's the icing on the cake! Any bike that beats the heart a little faster walking toward it or glancing back at it is the right bike at the moment. Ride it far & safe
