Have a couple of tyres to get rid of.

Local tip, and not so local tips, won't take them. Local horsey person used to take them to make jumps or summat, but they have more than enough.

Any suggestions on disposal? Apart from a hedge bottom.

Find your nearest Tory mp, bottom of tyre between legs with a 12 inch spike attached , push Tory mp head in to top of tyre.
Strap a couple of hundred quids worth of fireworks to Tory with duct tape , then douse with petrol liberally and light the lot.
As we still in a period of austerity use as little flame as required. :)

Will they fit in the household rubbish bin? If so put them in large plastic bag and put in the bin..

Any marinas nearby? Could be useful as fenders.

Thanks all for the helpful and humourous input.

Getting off my arse and searching around I came across Envirotyre, located in Sutterton, Lincs. Happens to be on my route to work.

They will take tyres for the princely sum of £1 plus vat each. An absolute bargain in my eyes, so I'm off there soon.
