Got all the parts back from the paint shop so will be assembling the front end this weekend ( if the seals arrive), does anybody have any idea of how much fork oil and what weight to use?? Cheers
According to my Haynes manual for the Thunderbird sport you should use SAE 5 weight fork oil and the oil level should be 145mm from top of the tube with the fork spring removed and the leg fully compressed Might be worth you investing an the Haynes manual it's the Triumph Triples and Fours 1991 to 2004, you should be able to pick one up on Flea Bay for around £15 Yes I know I'm being sad having my workshop manual with me at work but I have very little to do at lunch
Also meant to ask if the filter mod (just shown in the image of when I got her) is a standard thing or just done to have easier access
That doesn't look stock to me as I cannot remember seeing one like that before but bloody hell that is one nice and clean looking thunderbird, :upyeah: how many miles has it done?
only done 14,000 or so;- I've repainted all the front end metal, headlight, brackets forks, rad ends, instrument covers etc. It will be for sale soon!!
