    Hi all,
As a newbee and a born again biker, please don’t bite my head off. I have a little issue with fitting my Triumph Tiger 1050 Sport which is 2013 model with the quick Givi Pannier Rack release system.
I fitted the pannier rack loosely as suggested in instructions, but the ‘cross beam’ which fits behind the number plate, no matter how I try, is rammed up against the exhaust (which is standard). Therefore, although the rack is fitted now and tightened, it has been ‘forced’ into position hard against the exhaust.
Has anyone else had an issue? I’m thinking of getting the the frame modified.
I’ve spoken (emailed) the supplier in Italy who just suggested making all the fitments loose, but still the same.

    Hi , thanks for reply.
Yes, I undid exhaust, but wasn’t enough movement to solve issue.

    Hi,
Yes mine has a rubber spacer, that part is not touching exhaust it’s the furthest (back of bike) part that’s hitting exhaust. The part that links both sides together. Was possibly thinking about having exhaust bracket slightly modified when it goes in for mot end of month.

The rack has special locking fittings. But very good idea for the exhaust bracket . That’s a help

    Hi mate and welcome :)
Could the exhaust have taken a knock
    Previous owner
Could it be loosened? and spacer put in between while you tightened it all up again and then pull the spacer out giving the clearance between the two?:)

Ask Dilligaf about his top box, you'll either get one and drop the pannier idea or loose the will to live!o_O:)

    Hi ,
Thank you all. Will have another go tomorrow after work. The bracket cannot go the on their way around as shaped to fit around exhaust but not ‘shaped’ enough.
    Hi,
Lol, no swing needed. The bracket cannot go the other way around as it’s sticks out further on the offside, but I did try that anyway.

    Hi,
    Thanks for your idea’s,.
I’ll take exhaust off the mount tomorrow to see but looks like new to be honest. .i do know the previous owner used a different exhaust (which came with the bike) but went back to the original, so maybe in refitting he did something different.
