Pretty sure you’re allowed 5 modifications without it changing your premium and that obviously depends on what they are. You can advise them of an aftermarket exhaust, fairing, seat, mirrors etc which are just cosmetic but not a turbo charger. I advised CN that my Ducati had aftermarket Ohlins forks and they put the phone down on me. Must admit I’ve not informed them of my changes.......whoops !
I’ve got the black cases fitted to mine. I think they look so much nicer. I also asked the dealer, about the black V&H pipes, but the track racer kit only came with the brushed stainless cans
I’m thinking of swapping back to the standard clip-ons on mine. Is it a straight forward swap over? Someone’s just replied, saying I’d need a new brake hose, as the original needs cutting down, when fitting the lower clip-ons. Surely this wouldn’t be right. If anything, you’d just swap a brake hose wouldn’t you??? Thanks Neil
I have gone from conventional to drops and a fairing. My brake lines don't appear to have been altered at all ! And they don't look out of place
Well, here she is! Had to be delivered on the 1st March due to the snow. A bit of sunshine yesterday was too much temptation. Just a quick bimble up the road was all it took to be won over! Looking forward to the warmer/dryer weather to get some proper miles in.
You are going to love it. Just remember to wipe it down after rideouts in wet, damp, salty conditions. Particularly engine casings , wheels/spokes & throttle bodies. Only takes 20 minutes or so. I find it very theraputic rubbing down my TTR
Love what you have had done to the rear end. Was that part of the race package? I have to say the standard set up like mine is not the best looking part of the bike.
