    May I suggest the Stop n Go from Amazon - £35.00 carry it with you and can plug most punctures with no mess. Just need the Air capsules to inflate the tyre to a rideable pressure

    Cheers Red Thunder, I have actually got a similar kit to this which I carry when away on trips, I really just don't fancy riding with a plug in the tyre, of course I would use it to get to the next town if stranded.

    Well checked tyre pressure last night & it had only lost 2 lbs of pressure since I inflated it on Sunday morning, funny I thought as I could hear the air escaping (worse coz the tyre had soapy water all over it) it would have lost a hell of a lot more than that! Think I might just wack some tyre glue in the hole and see if it holds pressure so I can get a few more miles out of it.

    To be honest I would rather just plug it then do that,!!
    much safer plugged than with a bit glue, folk have done shit loads of miles with a plugged tyre including myself without any problems on a bike and the car

    Serviced the bearings in the drop links for the rear suspension and just like the rear brake I’m glad I did cos there was bugger all in the way of grease in there. It’s an easy half hour job with wheel out to make access better.

    I would say use a plug too, I have ran over 2,000 on a tyre that was plugged with my temporary 'Stop n Go kit' rubber mushroom plug on a half worn tyre
    You would need at least three of those air canisters to get a full size rear tyre to about 15psi, which would let you get you home

    Thanks for info, I have a similar kit never really looked at it after buying, I assume you push the plug into the hole from the outside?

    That's correct using the supplied tool, that's after having removed nail/screw if visible and cleaning/reaming the hole bigger again using supplied tool :cool::cool:

    sometimes these error codes can just be a blip and once cleared don't come back, if they do then there should be a bit of investigamating to do, ie check connections of guilty party and try again

    +1 what crispey says.
    The SAI valve is an aluminium casting with a couple of hoses to it and electrical connector, one hose goes to the airbox, valve is usually next to airbox near the steering head.
    Don't worry about error codes unless they come back, error could be something that happened yonks ago and never been cleared. Could be as simple as someone turning ignition on while one/all of the plug caps are off.

    I agree with Ade, bought an Airman a few months back, changed the connector to same as battery charger and gave it a quick test topping the tyres up and seems ok (seems to get the best reviews on 'net). Only trouble is it takes up precious under-seat space, definitely take it with me when touring but might still risk the canisters for local day trips.

    Well not today but close ! Yesterday I took my America to a Dyno tuning shop. Got a much smoother running motor now, the air to fuel ratio is much smoother and gained about 4 horse power on Pro Twins dyno before and after tune readings. Justin the operator said there can be up to 30% difference in readings done on different dynomometers on different days, I previously had my Bike Dyno tuned on std motor and got a top reading of 57.3 HP, Bike is now 905cc as against std 865cc, Bike felt much more powerful. So with 30% correction this would be 70/71 HP !

    Just checked std torque 44 ftlbs around 3400 rpm, mines up 5 or 6 ftlbs and right in the middle of the rev's , also up about 20 HP...

    Found out my fuel economy is way better too 204klms on trip meter and I can't get 9 ltrs in that's 22 klms/Ltr. !!

    Just got back from warmer climes, looked at the bike, looks good.
    Looked at the weather,:sob::sob::sob::sob::sob: its too cold, turned on the heating, and starting reading what you madmen have been up to!;););)

    Got the urge, couldn't resist it, got the Bonneville out of its vacuum bag, refitted the battery and after 4 months hibernation it started on the button!
    Service booked next week, tax it start of March, things are looking up!

    Didn't get the torque print out, but have since emailed him and asked. Did it this morning so will check email periodically until I hear from him.
