I am going away to Spain on the RS next year and I am after info on any decent aftermarket tank bags that fit well. My old Oxford Products magnetic one is way too wide, I looked at the MCN guy's report who has an RS long term test bike and the one he used also didn't look like it fits that well, the genuine Triumph item seems a bit pricey so asking if anyone has sourced one that fits well?

    Givi tanklock.
Get the ring then choose which bag you want.

    Thanks for that roadrider,
I had a quick look, but would like to know if anyone has used the Givi system on a ST765RS & if so which is the biggest capacity tanks bag I can get without fouling the bars or switch gear?

I got one very similar to this for my non triumph bike, there is the same design for triumph models.I find it very quick and easy to remove the tank bag, especially at filling stations. http://www.sw-motech-shop.co.uk You can check on site the compatible models.:) Then you choose the bag (that's the dear bit)[IMG]

Thanks Lexy, I see what you mean about the dear bit being the bag itself, I thing the Givi is a bit more affordable!

Update - After a few enquiries it seems that the Givi system does not yet have a tank lock ring for the 765 Street, they tell me the 675 one will not fit, not wanting to give up the extra £80 that the SW-Motec system costs can anyone tell me if they have used the Givi system on the new 765 Street?

Just to update after a visit to Bill Smith Triumph dealer whilst up north last weekend I tried the Oxford QR30 ring lock system, the filler cap bolts & spacers were checked on the old and new Street Triple and are the same although the part numbers are different?
The sales assistant there was very helpful & let me try the tank bag on an RS in the showroom, price after a bit of haggling was £127 including the locking ring, the bag itself comes with a lifetime guarantee so would assume they are confident in their quality, time will see...

I use SW Motech and their tank Ring locking system, not unlike the Givi one. I have mounts on both my 2013 Street R and my 2017 Street RS. I have 2 bags currently a small 5 litre one used for ride outs and a bigger 'Day Pack' one for carrying more stuff. I can't tell you which is the biggest that will fit without fouling bars etc but can recommend them on quality and useability. I have used their kit on a 2008 Speed Triple. 2010 Kawa ZX10R and the 2 above bikes.

Cheers for that, but as previous update I went with the Oxford QR30 ring lock system, it is a 25 ltr bag that can expand to 30 ltrs, I tried is on the bike at 30 ltrs and you can't see much of the clocks! I don't normally need to carry luggage as normally when we travel as a group one guy sticks his bike and all our luggage in a van & drives straight to our base.
This year we're going down to Spain & doing many different stops, the ferry is expensive enough for bikes let alone a van so decided to carry luggage instead. Basically I am going to take a load of old tee-shirts & boxers etc & bin them once worn, that way at least the load gets smaller as we go.

Before any of the top box fans starts .... Nooooooo Top box or panniers, what doesn't go in a tank bag & rucksack aint going!
