HI to everyone!! Just introducing myself as I have had my eye on Daytona 675 since falling in love with one at J&S in Doncaster, passed my full A licence test back in October so just missed out on the summer sadly and pottered around on GPShed 500 whenever the weather has been nice for me to get some mileage. Now we are into 2018 and the time is coming near to me finally breaking the bank and purchasing myself my dream bike. I just want to say my heart is set on the Daytona 675 2006-09 nothing said to me will turn me away so I am posting to ask for advice on what to look for and what to be aware of when viewing bikes as in the following weeks I am going to view some. My budget is around £4,000 just to let it be known and I am located in Yorkshire. Looking forward to hear from everyone and hope to be joining on some rides soon
HAHA Thankyou for the warm welcome, yeah glad to see that when telling my bikermad family my choice for my 1st big bike not heard anyone object to Triumph, appears to be a very loved named
Welcome bumbertag. Daytona's are cracking bikes. Just make sure it's got a full service history with invoices from reputable workshops. It's worth letting all your local dealers know you're in the market and what your budget is in case they get a trade in or a customer looking to sell one.
Hi and welcome to a great forum, lots of good knowledge on here. Great choice of bike, spring is coming
Hi welcome too the nuthouse you should fit right in. When you get your new bike don't forget too post photos as keeps the inmates happy. Good luck . Tucker
Welcome mate, Newish here too and just bought my dream bike in a Speed triple so all the best in finding the perfect Daytona for you. Dave.
Welcome, great choice of bike the 675 engine is a sweet as a nut, already seen some good advise regarding service history etc, low mileage and full history is what I have always striven to get when buying used.
Cheers to everyone for the welcomes!! Thankyou Dozer i'll have a good gander at it now hoping to get through to a few meet ups on the new baby as soon as I get it and the weather picks up!
Here's a Daytona waiting for a new owner TRIUMPH DAYTONA 675 for sale in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire 2009 model Triumph 675 This bike was produced by Roaring Toyz of America for the 2010 Daytona Bike Week for promotional work during which it completed a major photo shoot at the Daytona race track including a number of laps in the hand of its creator Robert Fisher a former AMA racer. The bike received centre page coverage at the time in two custom bike magazines. The late Gary Nixon, who raced Triumphs in the 60s and was Barry Sheenes team mate at Suzuki was photographed sitting on the bike at Daytona race track, that photo will go with the bike. There is also a photo of Steve Parrish sat on the bike at Triumph bike fest where the bike was a finalist in the custom bike show. The bike was bought over to the UK by the current owner in 2011 who now feels its time for someone else to enjoy the bike. A gallery of pictures of the bike at Daytona can be viewed on roaringtoyz.comgallerysportsbikes Union Jack themed Triumph. The full spec of the bike is as follows: Custom trellis and billet swing arm by Ransom Motorcycles and Roaring Toyz Race Tech fork internals, candy red fork feet, black anodised fork tubes Triumph/Arrow black anodised rearsets Triumph/Arrow titanium exhaust system Performance Machine Luxe Platinum Cut custom wheels and matching front brake rotors Vortex Cat 5 black anodised contrast cut rear sprocket Roaring Toyz black anodised radial mount brake calipers with custom bracket Roaring Toyz translucent blue brake lines with red fittings Greggs customs billet LED front turn signal indicators Signal Dynamics LEDs Red and blue high powered strobe lights Roaring Toyz/Hustler billet/rubber grips Custom blue/black anodised Pazzo levers Roaring Toyz black anodised billet custom mirrors Graphic design by Paul Wong of Aruba Paint by Ryan Hathaway Dyno Tuned by Donny at Dynoworks Sarasota Florida Call now to book a test ride! On a more serious note they also have a 2012 model with 2,100 miles on the clock in fantastic condition, asking £5,999. We sometimes get owners asking to sell us a bike, but we rarely buy (except trade in) unless we have a customer like yourself looking for a specific bike. I've let our guys in Woburn and Wellingborough know you're in the market and your budget.
Hi Bumbertag and welcome. Two good dealers locally - A1 Moto in York and Team Roberts in Conisbrough nr. Doncaster. Either will do, although I do have a (very) slight preference for TR - possibly .... or not. Having said that it was like meeting a long lost friend last year when I went to A1 and got talking to Darren and Jo again after many years away. So maybe I prefer A1, perhaps(ish). Who knows ..... I don't?! Wibble!! SIGH!!
Hi to all the locals hopefully be seeing some of you soon! Thankyou rich for the recommendation i'm very keen on trying to get my hands on a gold one or the anodised grey effect colour, gold was the colour I fell in love with so hoping to complete the dream Thankyou for notifying people of my interest in looking for bikes hopefully something comes up, possibly going to view one this weekend I will drop the link in later.

It looks good in the pictures mate, no mention of service history at all in the advert? I would ask a question or two of the current owner about this, a complete lack of history would make me suspicious! Also find out how long current owner has had it. I do a lot of servicing myself once a bike is out of warranty but always keep receipts for everything and log the mileage and take photos showing the bike whilst bits are removed/renewed, if no stamped service book then ask when/who did servicing & if there are receipts. Also need to establish whether miles are genuine, so check the MOT history from its first one in 2010. Not everyone is a crook, but if you don't get the answers you are looking for then you have to ask why, and is the bike genuine. Don't want to put you off in any way just making sure you go in with your eyes open & don't suffer the wonder lust that we all get when looking at our potential new ride Cheers Billy
Tyres look almost brand new. Nothing wrong with that you say. Personally I would like to see a machine with worn tyres. 1) you can judge for yourself if the current owner is nutter on his bike 2 ) price of machine more negotiable. Not sure I would put brand new tyres on a machine I'm selling unless I'm hiding something like track days?? Just saying
The bike looks clean enough from the photo, but some good advise from the boys on what to ask before you buy. One other key thing to be aware of is that in the link you have posted it shows the distance from your location (i.e. your post code). You should be careful about publishing your location; there are some less that honest b@stards lurking around the internet who would love to visit you and your bike. Wessa
