If the dates and itinerary are not finalised yet can I say Saucy Mary's bunk house is recommended. Its just over the Skye bridge also the main road around Skye is in great condition and a great road.( just thought they are worth a mention at this stage, if the routes are more fixed than I realised, then I apologise.

26th start out would be too late or me. Flying to Canada/Alaska for a month on the 30th

 

I'll go with whatever dates suits the majority i thought meet at Tyndrum on either Sunday the 13th or the 20th of May?..the Scottish 6 day trials is on from the 7th to the 12th of May so probably best to give those dates a miss

|That might be a possibility for the Tuesday night, i had though staying either at the campsite at Applecross or there are a few options in Lochcarron,but we could stay on Skye, and if we have time have a run around the main Rd..then leave on the Wednesday morning to Ullapool via my suggested route..i'll have a better idea tomorrow when i make phone calls to various hotels etc

 

i take it everyone is happy with Sunday the 13th or the 20th at Tyndrum? if so i will decide the date for definite tomorrow night

That Ullapool road is a fantastic memory and I plan to do it again.

i phoned up the hostel in Tyndrum asking if i could pre book a certain number for May and if it turns out there will be less turning up will it be ok? they said as long as i let them know about 3 weeks before it will be fine, i'm thinking of pre booking 15,that should be more than enough?? not sure if the rest of the places i phone will let me do this but i'll give it a go..will keep you posted

 

i phoned a few places and apart from the bunkhouse at Tyndrum the rest would not let me provisionally book for a group,so i think i'll give it until the 29th January not the end of February as i had originally planned, before i book anything and if anyone else is interested after that they would still be welcome to join us, but i wouldn't be able to guarantee they will be able to stay in the same place

 

This is the route,i will put daily routes up on the myroute-app once accommodation is decided on...on the Tuesday when we get to Skye we could have a run around it depending on how folk feel

Number 5 on the map is Corran where we stay Monday night
Number 9 on the map is Skye where we stay Tuesday night
Number 14 on the map is Ullapool where we stay Wednesday night
Number 19 on the Map is Braemar where we stay Thursday night
Number 25 on the map is where we stay Friday night

 

I would be interested in joining you all, I have always fancied riding round Scotland. could join up at Bedford and ride up with people

 

that would be great ,will i add your name onto the list? i think Sunday the 13th of May meeting up at Tyndrum would be the best date

I would like to come but I go to a rally in Ireland every year and this year it is the 13th-20th,i could have changed the return ferry so I was in stranraer on the 20th but you must go with the majority which is the 13th,i will get up there in September,i know you will all love it.

 

One question Dougie, you're not expecting us to go riding through the glens stark bollock naked are yer ???
