    Hello all,

Good to see a Uk based Triumph forum. I only wish my first post could be made under different circumstances.

The other night some scumbag, upon realising that he couldn't steal my bike (2008 Speedmaster) decided to vent his frustrations and just damage it instead.

They cut the cables to the battery, sliced through the fuel line and snapped the fuel rail.

Replacing the fuel rail is what's causing me the most headaches. World of Triumph lists that little piece of plastic at £97.90! I can only assume it's lined with diamonds to justify that price!

Triumph Parts / World of Triumph

I've had to reread that price several times to make sure I was reading it correctly!

Does anyone have a source that may shave some pennies off the price? Or does anyone know if this fuel rail is used on other bikes (as dropping the Triumph association usually means halving the price!!!)

    Thanks

Hi and welcome to the forum

Sorry to hear about your bike, If you ever catch up with the mongrels that did it I will be more than happy to help you give them a pointed education about respect for other peoples property.

Might be worth checking if you can get the parts you need going second hand might be the way foward.

    Cheers

    Steve

Hi welcome to the forum, think we all share your pain...... there are some scumbags out there. Triumph are not the cheapest for parts an accessories, breakers and e bay may be your best bet, sorry I'm not able to offer any direct help.

That does seem somewhat excessive. If it was me faced with finding a piece of plastic that size and shape, I'd be analysing the dimensions of the remains of the one I had to hand and thinking of where something with those kinds of proportions might otherwise be used.
