Both wheels on my Daytona have a dull finish which I assume is age related and they need a good polish to bring back the shine. Any tips about what to use? T Cut? Autosol?? Anything else work better?
One part WD40. One part Castrol red rubber grease One part high melting point grease One part Auotosol chrome cleaner One part Turtle wax metallic polish One part brake cleaner One part Castrol 4T engine oil One part Scottoiler chain oil One part Scottoiler FS360 Grease from hands after eating Fish & Chips Sprinkle of brake pad dust (preferably organic) Having used the same piece of workshop cotton rag for 20+ years, I can swear by this mixture.
Mix together in a bowl, place in a preheated oven and bake at 180 degrees for 30 minutes, then serve with asparagus spears and a copaslip jus
Cheers, have several oily rags with similar recipe, let you know how I get on DD - yup the dark blue painted wheels so will avoid autosol
i did see a video on YouTube (smo) he used s colour refresher s1doc or similar, before and after pics did show big difference although bit pricey.
