Flitwick Motorcycles, known of them for years but never had reason to use them, then I found an AGV flip front at a very good price on a website, but preferred to buy direct so phoned them and did the transaction with a live human missing out PayPal which I hate, (especially when they charge YOU for a refund of your money,) this was on Friday and it arrived in perfect condition and well packed, by DPD on Saturday afternoon, who I consider to be the best courier service as well. A+ for all concerned. I've got at least 3 dealers I'm pretty content with now who I consider I can trust!
Absolutely, I often ask who the courier is and if its My Herpes or Yodel I cancel straight away! Both the buggers are signing before they get out of the van, then if you are not in you've 'received' it and it dissapears.
DPD are excellent. Never had a problem with Hermes, which is down to who your local delivery bod is. Flitwick have always been great at mail order.
My regular DPD driver is brilliant with stuff like that. Kamel, first generation immigrant - diligent and hard working. A couple of weeks ago I had a delivery from a different driver (British name), and the firm was "DPD Local" rather than the regular DPD service. The time slot was 6am-8pm, and they signed on my behalf for delivering it. Only when I phoned them to find out where my package was, they called the courier and the next day it miraculously found its way to the local chemist they use as a collection point. Parcel Farce are even worse - three of the last four packages I have had from them there has been no card left - yet the tracking showed them as "attempted delivery" at a time where I was at my computer within 8 feet of the front door. The fourth package, Mrs GF8 had popped out so I was sat to the side of the house reading MCN, and actually watched the Parcel Farce woman walk past the house and tap quietly on the door as she strode past literally without even breaking step. When I intercepted her the lying bitch said she'd tried knocking a couple of times and was going to leave a card later.
Parcel force could be a bit dodgy, but our Royal Mail seems to be o.k. RM/PF over Herpes/Yodel any day though!
