Tough call Derek. Do what I did and keep the Honda and get a Triumph as well! I could not bear to part with my Magna VF750 V4 but wanted a Bonneville so I kept it. Gives me two nice bikes to ride.
I have to say the Bonneville is such a great bike to ride and I really enjoy it. So much I have now bought a Speedmaster as well.
However I will say that the quality of metals on the Triumphs is nowhere near as good as Honda in my opinion. My Magna is 21years old and not a sign of corrosion anywhere . Both Triumphs are showing mild corrosion in certain areas, mainly chrome. and one of them has only done 2500 miles. Still love riding them though and I would not hesitate to buy another one but I would look very closely at the detail areas for signs of corrosion and try to find one that is clear.
Hope it helps. I don’t want to put you off a Triumph as they are truly great bikes and a fabulous ride.
The answer is to buy a new one and keep an eye on it.

Certainly agree with DD so look carefully at condition and ownership. There are “dry” bikes out there.
