Hi Everyone, I finally decided to pass my test and bought my first bike. T/Daytona 600 2003. Very happy man....The Best of British

Looking forward to browsing through the posts and learning more about Triumph and biking in general.

First question though, anti-mist advice needed, using a sparx full face helmet. Tried the myth of washing up liquid - that nearly ended badly. I have a spray that is ok (at work and cant remember the name?) but still fogs when standing - I'm hoping someoneI has some little nugget of info that could help??

    Cheers

Cheers I'll look it up, I'm starting to get fed up of riding with my visor open, especially in this weather

Cheers Bry, that's the spray I've got, I just find it doesn't work that well when riding slow or standing still. I think the problem is more with the lack if ventilation in the lid - or maybe I'm looking for an excuse to get a new one lol
Cheers for the welcomes - think I'll be staying around, have already been getting some great advice of people - liking the site cheers all

I'm glad you like the site. Some folks have found it a bit offensive, you cock!

    It's a good place to be. B

PS (The pinlock thing is the way to go - I know that Arai and Shoei do it but have no idea about other makes, sorry).

Try holding your fucking breath when going slowly or stationary.... Alternatively get a mans bike, lets say a Triumph cruiser & wear an open face lid. Works for me View attachment 2708

Hi MonkeyRyder, Welcome to the site. Like the leathers, I was riding along today on my tiger thinking SH*T my knees are freezing, why don't you buy some leathers or get something with fairings on it. My helmet does mist-up a bit, but then again its one of those that you can crack in two by grabbing a switch on the jaw piece, splitting the thing in two does remedy the clouding effects of condensation.

Hi and welcome to the Triumph forum. Best solution for your visor is the Pinlock system; basically double glazing for your helmet. You will need two plastic pins inserting through your current visor (or buy a pinlock ready one) then the thin plastic pinlock screen fits tight up against the inside of your visor. The two screens are held apart by a silicone seal giving a small air gap which stops misting on the inside almost completely.
