Hi folks Having got my license a few weeks ago I eagerly picked up my bike last weekend. A 2008 Speedmaster (will post a pic soon). Despite being a bit old she is pretty tidy, low miles, goes well, sounds great and excites me whenever I get on her! I am nearing 40 and my other half says it is a mid-life crisis, could be right, but at least that means I've got another 40 years of riding bikes in me! Anyway, hi to everyone. I'm heading over to the other threads now to get some advice on suspension - I've not aged as well as the bike so need some aftermarket shocks that are a bit friendlier on these country roads! Cheers Ben
Welcome to the forum Ben Don't know about the Speedmaster OEM suspension, but the Bonnevilles are as hard as hell, you do right changing them, it made a massive difference to the comfort and handling on my Bonnie.
I'm guessing they are similar, I feel an inch shorter after a ride through spinal compression! First upgrade for sure.
I changed rear shocks and front springs to Hagon. Speak with them, they will advise without trying to rip you off.
