Where we lived previously we were over run with mice - Mrs F decides to set humane traps, so every so often you empty the trap in the field over the road and Mickey runs off. One day it looks like the trap has gone off - so go the to field and open the box - mouse leg falls out! We have friends with a 3 legged cat and others with a 3 legged collie - so invited them all round - I reckoned it would be a fair fight then........
Well, good news and bad, the info I got was wrong with good intention, both dogs will be staying together, the trainer has no intention of them being split up or going to an RGT, she is keeping them her self, loyal servants get just rewards with her, so the bad news is I am not having them, no need to, so that keeps me open for any other emergency homing's that may crop up. That leaves me with 2 disc's ready made with 'Bonnie' & 'Clyde', all ready for the next 2! I thought it was a bit strange as I personally know this trainer as a friend, and didn't think she would do such a thing, I could still have them at a later date if I wished, but I know they are in no danger what so ever.
Just back from holiday in Corfu. The villa we were staying at had a stray kitten, 10 weeks old, living in the garden. Very friendly but not in good condition, hardly surprising as god knows what she could find to eat, and not much hope of surviving once the tourist season finishes. So we started feeding her and now we've adopted her and she'll be coming home in September when she's had her rabies jab. Here she (Eleni) is
Thanks Jez She's currently being fostered (in a cage of course) in an animal charity which tries to rehome strays, pending her rabies jab which is due tomorrow. Then we have to wait 21 days before she's allowed to leave Greece - or indeed come into the UK without a quarantine. She'll be coming in as airfreight to Gatwick. It will have all been a bit of a shock to her, but the vets and the charity are very clear that her prospects in Corfu were pretty poor indeed, so it's for the best. She'll be joining her step-brothers Boris, Jasper, and George... View attachment 19979 View attachment 19980

Sorry to hear that HT. I was distraught each time I've had to do the job, it really is awful. And I'm emotional now writing this. But it reminds you how lovely she was, and how precious her life was. And how important it is to replace her with another bundle of joy.
