All my mates at school had Fizzies, I could only afford a Puch, so you can imagine! Then they moved onto RD250 / 350's. I chose a GT250 / 380, so again you can imagine! I always had a slower/ heavier bike. Then I bought. T120 650, loved it
Honda H100SII. Could only just about do 50 without shaking itself to bits and coked up every three months. Followed by a GSX250EZ, which with a Powerbronze GPz-style 3/4 fairing added took me all over the country on camping and holiday trips. Got 70k miles out of it before the inevitable electrical gremlins almost killed it followed by a blind man in a Mk1 Escort who shortened it by several inches one night on my way home from work. Sad end for what turned out to be a great first real bike.
Gilera Enduro 50 ped then a brand new KH250 Kawasaki in 1976 picked it up on my 17th Birthday swapped that in for H1E500 Kawasaki in 1978 no bike from 1980 for 30yrs
Blimey the 500 was a ditch finder, such a unpredictable beast. One of my group had one, sadly he didn't make it. You were obviously one of the skilled / liucky ones
Had some hairy moments tank slappers even with a steering damper was much more fearless in my younger days.

XR1200x Handled well, stopped well and had 127mph top speed and it didn't half get there quick. My mate had one and raced a GXR600 across Milton Keynes, the Gixer couldn't catch him between roundabouts and when they finally stopped he couldn't believe he'd been racing a Harley, mind you my mates not called Nutty for nothing DD.You might remember him he was with me that day i met you at Gardiner and Whites.
My first bike was my 16th birthday present in 1959 so it was not that old then. Got me started on motorcycles and I'm still going strong at 73 some 58 bikes later. Picture is not actual bike but it was just like this.
