Well whoever it is standing in the middle of the road, map reading along with two bikes parked side by side is certainly getting full value from their 'POLITE' vest, hi-viz helmet and hi-viz leg band. Personally I'd go for a full bike re-spray in fluorescent orange plus fluorescent yellow tyres just to make sure.
hey there's nowt wrong with a bit of hi vis "be seen be safe" biking in the rain sodden wet foggy low visibility motorways and scottish highlands, it's not me in the picture but i wear one too and i have to admit that although i never kind of liked them, once i started wearing one i felt a hell of a lot safer mainly cos they frighten the shit out of car drivers
It's not the hiviz, it's the 'polite' across the back, used to make drivers think you are police, not good, sorry, just my opinion and lots of others too. Just annoys drivers, not what I want to do, rather have their respect and courtesy than be intimidated.
