Surely this can not be true? I have just got of the phone with my local triumph dealer. I was looking to part ex my old Daytona 600 for the new 675 ABS, only to be told "I'm sorry sir we don't have any any more" I replied with how long to order a new one ? The guy on the other end simply sighed " no sir you don't understand we've stopped making them! The Daytona is no more!" Gutted is not the word I feel. Don't get me wrong I like the naked bikes out there made by triumph, your speed and street tripple. but I am a super sport man.
To top off my my loss of no more Daytona the told me Triumph don't plan to replace it with any new type of super sport. Are they mad!? triumph make the best mid range super sport going in my opinion. Is anyone as dumbfounded and gutted as me? Or am I just being to sentimental about the Daytona?

I hope there is new 765 in a few years and if not they need to start doing lol, I don't like change. Luckelly though like I said the other day my local dealer is going to give a sweet deal on trade for my 600. Offered me 64 plate 675r for 8K only 1000miles on her with loads of extras so my dream ain't dead yet.
One question to put out there, do I now try and keep my 600Daytona in as best as condition I can in hope it becomes a classic or a very sort after bike ? Still get the other Daytona as well though obviously

Honest opinion Andy, do you miss the 675, or you really happy with the tripple? I just can't see myself on a naked bike. I am open to try but I can just seem to commit and I want to stay with super sport. Convince me why a tripple speed or street.

Ha ha, yea the Daytona doesn't like being held back. Even my old 600 don't do slow. I think any Daytona owner will agree, you can't help but grow horns on the odd occasion. On the down side mine does seem to heat up real quick around town riding.
So before I buy this 64 plate 675r would say to go test ride a tripple ?

Yep that does make any decision all the more difficult. Only way to find out is book some test rides.
