    Hi guys.

    A little open question.
I have a quick coming reccuring left hand pain. On the palm, on the outside of the hand.
    ( from pinkie to wrist).
What's interesting is that very roughly, that pain wasn't triggering before the winter. and it's only the right hand.

So here is a couple of clues.

-Can it comes from my leather glove, too tight, now that it shrinked a bit ? (soaken wet and dried on an fireplace, the leather shrinked).

-Can it come from my hand position on the handlebars, knowing that the stock handlebars for the 2015 T100 Black bars will have your hands resting slightly pushing outwards. (to exagerate : thumbs facing in, pinkie facing out). ?

If anyone experienced it before, or has a suggestion: I'm all ears.

    Cheers guys.

Is it your left or right hand Sam? You say left hand palm pain and then that it's just the right hand?
I don't think it will be your glove - but they shouldn't be too tight - can you try another pair?
We all get pains as we get older (although you are considerably younger than most of us!). I have a touch of arthritis in my left thumb, which used to cause me pain after about 20 minutes riding. I have since carried out daily exercises - rotating thumbs in both directions, stretching thumb away from fingers on a daily basis and it has now gone.

Haha, sorry, I am distracted. Only the left hand.
    Thanks for your input.
My Glove might be too tight... :/
I'll buy new ones size up. I have big hands, the M might be too small for me.
I bought a pair of Hand Grip Strengthener to see if that helps.
( seeing that simply releasing the "pressure" on the grip helps, the strengtheners sounded like a good exercice).

    Cheers @steve lovatt ! ;)

I can suffer numb fingers and thumbs on my Speed triple, I've had it on both mine but not other bikes. What I have found in my long investigation into the problem that might help is. when I rotate the bars backwards and forwards in the yokes i can go from numb fingers to tingly fingers and then on to pain in the bask of the hand but with no numbness. I hope this may be of some help. BTW i'm not talking about a big rotation.

Thanks for your input @711jrp , I might look into this. Not 100% exactly sure what you mean (not a native english speaker) but I know @d-basser will be drooling at the idea of fixing something hahaha.

Sam - a medium glove sounds way to small if you have big hands.
I have small hands but my gloves are all large or extra large size (Alpinestars always come up small in size).

Yeah I think it was just tight before, and now it's simply painfully small.
I use the Biltwell Work gloves which are an amazing pair of cheap (£40) thick leather gloves.

Conclusion: Don't let your leather gloves shrink ! :D

Mhh. Intersting gloves, unfortunately if an M size is too small, I believe (unless told otherwise by a user) that a 2XL will be too big for me.

I might just go on the-cafe-racer.com and order a large for the Biltwell Work Gloves. Though the one you showed me there seems to have more detailed protection... I might find them in large somewhere else. :)

@Samuel F if your glove is too small you'll know when you clench your fist, you"ll feel pressure on either side of the palm around the knuckle area and across the back of the hand. If it's comfy it's ok, the more pressure you feel the tighter they are. Almost feels like blood isn't getting to the back of the hand.

Knowing that I did not feel that before winter, and that it's not a hand minor trauma which could go away with time, it seems that this is the issue. but that pain being very precisely located, I was wondering if anyone experienced the same stuff.

    Cheers for your answer @crispey

Personally wouldn't buy gloves online, even same glove as I already owned, same size in a shop can have a slightly different fit. I always try all the same size's available in the shop, before choosing a pair.

Very important to get them fitting just right, they are the ones operate the throttle and the brake lever.

How much are you fingers worth to you? £4 for one of your fingers ?

Just a thought on how much you would spend on a pair of gloves !!!

    :grinning:

It annoys me how right you are on that subject... o_O
Thanks for the advice on glove fitting.

@thebiglad even if I am a left oriented ambidextruous man, I use the right hand for my lonely pleasures. And I am talking of solo rides. Of course. ( solo rides, get it ? )

I agree Mr O - you cannot buy gloves or a helmet without trying them on.

On a different topic, I tried the famous Hedon Heroine at the Bike Shed london... and my my... this lid is really really impressive. It sizes short. I REALLY needed a large when my present Premier Trophy is a medium. But damn... Impressive finition, really good sound isolation, apparently impossible to fog... I 'm happy I tried that one. Now, the problem is to find £700 to pay for it.

Well the best way to save loads of dosh is to shop elsewhere from the bike shed!
You'd have to sell your beard to afford those prices!!
