Just finished off my first year on my first Triumph..14 T-Bird Commander. For me anyway, this has been absolutely the most amazing bike I have ever rode. Feeling guilty that it took me so long to even consider a Triumph, especially since the rest of the world seemed to be slow about embracing this bike knowing they (Triumph) discontinued this model. 1 year down, I am more infatuated with this machine than I was the first time I remember seeing it. After 30 yrs of riding on 12 different bikes.....have found my true passion...just wanted to share it
Hello James and welcome to the Triumph Asylum. I'm delighted to hear that you are enjoying your Triumph so much - that's what they're there for, after all. Now we need pics of your ride......................................
Welcome James, precisely what I thought when I got my Triumph. I have owned many many bikes through the years and there is something else about the Triumph. I long for weekends (Sunday's) when I normally go out for a ride. Truly a pleasure and where ever I stop it turns heads ! Stunning engineering.
I will get pics up after work today. Still tweaking my metal monster, thanks for the replies. Feels odd, a whole new world has opened up even though I have been riding my entire life. Never have been so obsessed as I find myself now. The bike does turn heads and earns lots of compliments and praise, yet I feel somewhat all alone here in central ohio as far as it he Triumph fans.
You just leave your metal monster alone, that's a story for another time lol, just post up pics of your Thunderbird. PS - welcome in James
Hmm. Don't seem to be adept at using the damn phone....nothing loads. Anxious to share, relate, I will figure this out,
Welcome James! There are only a handful of companies that do not only sell good motorcycles but also have a very special charisma and deeply rooted tradition to offer. And Triumph doubtlessly is one of the few...
Seems like it would be a simple thing...uploading pictures...file too large or wrong format...can't seem to get them up. Folks...I have a much bigger problem. I am not sure if anyone here can relate. I have been riding for 30 plus years. Never...NEVER, have a been so utterly obsessed over a bike. This thing feels like it was built and designed specifically for me...like we even think alike. I don't want to do anything but ride. Wanting to leave my job (Gen Mgr for a Honda dealership) and possibly start up a group that shows up in a town, does a couple of good deeds and rides on to the next to start all over. Love this Bike, Love the Ride. Eating, sleeping, drinking, dressing Triumph....mid life crisis? Did I finally just find something I have spent my whole life looking for? Has taken me by surprise....as I have said, no where near my first bike....have I lost it?
I find it really invigorating that you James are taking such pleasure with your Triumph. I know peeps will say "that's what they're there for" - but you've got it bad my friend. You lucky dawg !!!! On the subject for pictures on this forum, have you ever tried using a picture-hosting site such as Photobucket? It's free to use and works well on this site. If you go down that road all you do - once you've opened an account - is upload your pics to your Photobucket account, then post post links on here to your pics.
Welcome brother...just purchased my 2015 Tbird Cmdr and love it too. Added a backrest pad, sissy bar, luggage rack, and shorty windscreen. Love the bike and very comfortable for a cruiser. Congrats on a great bike!
