I was wondering, has anyone got any ideas on how to celebrate my Trophy 1200 SE (2012) reaching 100,000 miles (That's 164,000km!) there's been one or two hiccups along the way, but I still love the bike, it still makes me smile . Sad to hear they're being discontinued
Wow! Shit that's some mileage and also a very short time to do it in. Welcome to our deranged elite club btw!!
Welcome in! Jip, treat her to a full inspection, an oil change and a good wash ! Then go for a nice ride and snap some pics at your favorite spot ! Well done by the way, that's some decent miles ! Ps other members with similar bikes might be interested in your running costs up to now, likes and dislikes etc... that is if you haven't posted it somewhere on the net yet and could just provide a link ! Cheers
Cheers, she has a full service history and is cleaned nearly every week!! I haven't worked out running costs, but average is 50mpg, consumes no oil at all, tyres about every 10,000 miles
Hello Tim and welcome to the Triumph Asylum - WOW that's some proper mileage. Just goes to show how well built these new Triumph are. If it were me and I had a bike like yours that had given such loyal service I would be spending some money on her - full service with all fluids and filters replaced; then go for a nice little bimble to..................................Prague !!!!!
That is really impressive riding mileage, you have my respect; what do you use the bike for to achieve this distance? As for celerbration, I would suggest a garage rest for the old girl....... Might be an idea to see if Triumph are interested in your biking story and the mileage you have achieved. Your right it is a pity they have stopped production of the bike. Wessa
Well, I commute 70 miles each way 3 day a week. I teach CBT & test riding at weekends, and I tour Europe on her, then in any spare moments I just ride ride ride. Looking forwards to next 100,000, should be do-able Cheers.
