I agree with the the other lads, fork gaiters without a doubt Pic of my Bonnie when I fitted the gaiters. Upgraded to progressive springs and changed fork oil at the same time.
Great shout, didn't think of them and a good excuse to change the springs and oil as you say! Let's see what's on offer at MCN Festival this weekend... Cheers all
I have gone with knee pads on mine. But I tend to ride a lot in armoured denim jeans. And do a fair few miles on my rides out. They do stop the material marking up the paint and provide great grip go when you are cornering hard. Ps just upgraded to x pipe 're map and a pair of Vance and hines. Excellent sound and performance.
If you're not keen on fitting knee pads and still want to protect the tank, I can recommend 'Helicopter Tape' which you can find by searching just that on Ebay. You can cut to shape and as it's almost completely clear, it should spoil the look. I'll post before and after pics in another thread, in July.
Sorry fella. Mrs DV has already had the bike taken away ( was supposed to be surprise 50th pressie, but the muppets forgot I have a tracker fitted, so she had to fess up when I go an alert from BikeTrac and called her in a panic ). I was going to have it done next summer, but...... The new scheme, based on a excellent scheme from a guy in Bodmin, who is selling his, will be ready at the end of June when I get home.
Did you see this already? Daniel Millotte upgraded this Thruxton (Triumph Lanester). I love the colour-scheme! Here's the article on 'For the ride': http://www.fortheride.com/stories/the-good-feeling-thruxton/ Cheers!
I love that! Exactly the look ive aimed to achieve, awesome! Mind we asking if thats the motone seat ? Also see the new air filters , very jealous!
