Always had a bike from my Suzuki ER50 for my 16th Birthday to my RD 350 during my late teens. Then didn't bother until late 30's and bought a few CBR 600 then settled for a Yamaha Fazer thou for a few years. Sold up 5 years ago thinking my biking days were 100% but then BOOM I needed a Triumph Bonneville!! Work that one out haha. Anyway picking my bike up Sunday and looking forward to driving it back the 200 miles
Welcome to the forum taffytoon. Great bike the new Bonneville. Don't put up with the suspension if it feels too hard, I did for 6 months and then upgraded to Hagons and what a difference!
Hi mate and welcome You and me have owned the same bikes mate! My all time favourite was the Fazer thou Riding a speedmaster now Enjoy your bonneville and ride safe
Hi and welcome to the forum. I have a 2012 SE and upgraded the suspension front and rear using TEC bike parts - they are very cheap compared to Hagon but I've had no issues and other members swear by them. http://shop.tecbikeparts.com/
Rear Hagon shocks were £145 pr. Front Hagon progressive springs £80 pr. I changed the fork oil to 7.5 as well, recommended by Hagon. Fitted fork gaiters at the same time, looks tons better in my opinion. TEC sound perfectly good, I just chose Hagon myself because of previous good dealings.
Got some old fork oil to sell if you know anybody ? Plus an old oil filter and 6k only used engine oil, I know some of the forum guys are not too fussy about oil. How does £20 for the lot sound + P&P
I just put Hagon 28 10's on the rear, damping adjustment, upside down shocks but look very near street twin originals. £199. Made up, big improvement straight out of the box. Than I put Tec springs and pre-load adjusters in the front, even more made up, the difference a progressive spring makes and the preload adjuster has allowed me to quicken up the steering a bit too. £125 I am a bit annoyed I have to spend £324 on top of the near £8k I just paid Triumph, just to get performance that should have been there from the start, but I can recommend those bits.
