Hope we do get the RT (touring version) as predicted in MCN. I would be seriously interested in a 765cc faired bike, that is not an adventure bike.
They make a damn good attempt, too close to call for me. Maybe I really am just stuck in the past but the "flung together with shite we had lying around" look does absolutely nothing for me. No doubt they're good bikes but not to my taste.
Even a Tiger??? A Tiger is the amalgamation of all the good things in the world glued together with soft kitten fluff and looks so good that each time I look at mine (2008) I have to put on sunglasses so as not to be blinded by its sheer beauty - FACT!
10k that's lot for 13 more bhp over the last street! I was looking at this with an option to buy one but man I'm not sure it's worth it! I have a 2013 street yes the new one looks the dogs but I was expecting more power.
I'll ignore the GS jibes(with my tongue firmly in my cheek) I agree,a half faired road bike with a reasonable seat height will go down a storm.
I'll try a demo, but I'll wait until the end of the year if I'm going to get one. Gives them time to sort out any teething issues and should get a better deal. Also gives me time to decide on whether I want an R or an RS.... I'll just slum it on the Tiger for now
been in to dealers this morning to see in the flesh the rs......Take my money, few extras ordered and should be here in approx three weeks. happy bunny
Finally got to have a ride on the new Street Triple RS. Always knew it was going to be too small for my massive frame but as the mrs could not take it out (away on a course) I stepped in. Happy to report that this bike is not just good, its amazing! Such light handling and THE best smoothest ride by wire throttle I've ever used. Overall fit and finnish is superb. For blokes in their 50s like me the electronic's will take a while to understand. There is a mode button that gives rain, road, sport and track (I only tried road and sport) and there is a multi function toggle switch which can be used for loads of info as well as changing the layout of the full colour dash. I did take my Olfi camera along with me (sorry I dont do this talking while riding thing) and there is quite a lot of wind noise
Spotted this so called road test on the Street. You can make your own mind up but I think the guy is a complete knob.....what a way to treat a brand new demo bike. Deserves to be sent the repair bill
