They are fork shrinked mate They are for Motorcross bikes to protect the forks, you slip them on then heat them up just as you would heat shrink on wiring
A bit of gold peaking through the RH leg? Looks good though. Great protection I would imagine. What sorta money that set you back?
Very interesting protective covering, I presume they are tubular and you have to remove the fork leg ? What made you choose this method over fork gaiters ? I saw some similar shock absorber protective wraps the other day.
Yeah exactly that's what I thought but I think this bike will be a keeper, shame they only do Matt black,if I can get some ohlins/triumph rear shock stickers I may do the rear too
I thought Id try something different and the gators don't go top to bottom,I thought as I was putting the cafe fairing on that it wouldn't be much more work to do this and is wasn't if I'm honest oh and matey cut me a deal as he has never sold any for road bikes before
Whats the benefit of that then ? I've noticed some of the rear shocks are like that. Has the world gone mad?
That's a nice looking bike DD Well explained, I don't think that I will need them either then, quite happy bouncing about with my new progressive springs up front. Too posh for me in that Thruxton forum, I'll have to retreat humbly back to my Bonneville forum where we have proper forks. lol
This is the site http://www.factoryarme.com/ Contact the bloke mark and explain it's for a road bike and you have seen it on lee's cafe racer
Hi Lcm7lee, .....that looks really good.... ......just like to point out you get really cool looking black forks on the Thruxton 12 as standard!......lol....... Cheers, dickydido
