    Hi Dougie,

Was surfing You Tube and stumbled on a guy calling himself Yammie Noob.

He was going on about changes to Moto 2..........saying that the standard spec engine is changing from a 600 four to a 750 triple and that Triumph is a key player in the frame to be that engine supplier.....

........you clearly are our go to MotoGP guy.....have you heard about this?

If true not only would the racing sound better but it'd be a triumph for Triumph!

    Cheers,

yes he is right enough, i think the triumph engined moto 2 bikes will be used in the 2018 season, and rumour is it will be based on the new 765 street triple engine.great news for triumph!

Edit. just googled it,it might be 2019 now

    Hi Dougie,

....thanks for the update, that's great news.....sounds like the Factory will be running some extra overtime in the engine and development shops!.......

.....2019?.......that should give everybody on the Forum who's planning on buying a 765 plenty of time to 'get to know' someone in the engine department......then maybe we'll see a few 170 BHP 765's prowling the highways and byways of the UK,!......

    Cheers,

Just a little bit of useless info, last yr at the NEC (bike show) there was race bike available to buy which if I remember correctly had a triumph 675 engine tuned to 180bhp weighing on at 170kg. When I asked how much at the stand he said in excess of 40grand does anyone else remember seeing it?
