So, just out of interest, I had a look at the new bike prices. The Sherman.com site is exactly the same as the Limey.co.uk site. How come the Speed Triple is £15,100 here and $18,300 there? £15,100 equates to $20,911. Why are Triumphs dearer here than in Shermanland?

From what I understand many US states have a load of add-ons. So the Triumph US list price is not accurate for what a punter over there pays. Still think they are a bit cheaper over all though (any manuf.)
VAT on vehicles in the UK. In Ireland it is even worse, we have higher VAT of 23% and a VRT (which the UK ditched years ago). VRT on my Tiger was an extra €1565.
