Sometimes being different is what it is all about and may not be everyone's cup of tea, but that is why we are all individuals, or else we would be like robots.
The Tomcc I'm a member of, Surrey, and also msl , mighty south london, are a majority of Hinckley owners, and those with the old uns either have a new one or something else to get around on, one even turns up on a BMW, it'll be an 80's boxer tho.!! They're a good bunch, men and women of a mixed age, more on the mature side I'd say. The monthly runs are usually a slowish bimble due to the numbers but once you've all split up and on your way home in 2s or 4s it can be surprisingly fast, a lot of these old buggers know how to ride s bike! And they're always someone looking for company on a ride somewhere. Look on the Tomcc website for your local branches and their meet nights and go down and see what you think. By my experience they're a welcoming bunch. It's inly £30 a year and you get a monthly mag
Would I be right saying a majority of Triumph owners are in their 50s up. Just asking......... At our meet the age of the attendees was around that age . To be honest I think that's why we all got on. We all he'd been there done it. And now just enjoy the yarn and riding our bikes without the need to prove anything.
I think I join, but being in Solihull looks like the only local one is Birmingham & Wolverhampton but that's a big area to cover and nit sure there would be many good country side runs that way? Any advice appreciated.
20 quid a year aint a lot. Insurance can be cheaper if you're in an owners club. All the branches run events. If your branch isn't doing what you like doing, run your own event and for sure you'll get participants. Stands to reason you can't keep all the people happy all the time so don't expect all the members to be your best new friend. Better to have a go yourself than wait for someone else to organise your life for you?
