I use to subscibe to PB BIKE & FASTBIKES magazines etc and get MCN every week but I guess you grow up and realise they all seem to write the same crap I would much rather be riding
Although I did purchase BIKE this month while out food shopping with the wife as a mate told my they had a test on the speed triple ,the write up was quite good but nothing else has changed
So I will only buy them when I'm bored

Classic Motorcycle Mechanics & Practical Sportsbikes. All the 70`s & 80`s stuff that i grew up on. Bikes that look good sound good with average handling & $hite brakes! Bit like my Daytona lol.

I guess I'm also a motorcycle magazine hoarder. I subscribe to Cycle World, Rider, Motor Cyclist, Sport Rider, Café Racer and Motorcycle Consumer News, which is only published once a month.
    I like all of them.

Dave, if I did that, I wouldn't know which bike I would like. Rider Magazine posted a review of the 2007 Suzuki Bandit and after reading it I had to have one. I still have that bike with 46,000 miles and not one problem. They sure got that one right. Then in Cycle World I found a good review of the Honda Super Blackbird. Next the Kawasaki Concours. So they work for me, and besides there's no registration or insurance on magazines.

    That's my ideal mix too!
Sometimes find the 2 packaged as a special deal for £5.99 instead of the normal £8.20 or so that they cost individually.
Don't buy magazines much these days prefer to spend the money on fuel.

I used to buy an array of mag's in the late 90's early 2000's (my late teens early 20's)
I also had my stepdad's back catalogue dating back to the mid 70's to peruse.

As for now, it's rare that I'll pay for a mag.... I recently bought the latest issue of Practical Sportsbike as it featured an issue on a Daytona and a Zephyr (variants of each I own or have owned) and featured the ZXR750 which is a bike I've always liked ....... however paying £4+ for a magazine which is approx 45% adds and title pages doesn't represent good value anymore.

(classic) Motorcycle Mechanics .. brackets due to it's former name, to me is one of the best current mag's ...but again only if you're interested in the specific features

My son has me on Fast Bikes subscription list & I keep telling him to take me off it :). I've subscribed now to Classic & Motorcycle Mechanics as I've got 2 projects on the go & the workshop articles come in quite handy.
