Helped out today at the VMCC (Vintage Motorcycle Clubs) (I'm a member) 50th Anniversary Whitley Run around the Cheshire countryside run mostly on B roads. The run was for solo's and 3 wheelers. No-one knew the route until they had signed on and there were check points along the route where participants were asked questions on motorcycles and the Highway Code Lunch stop was at a local hostelry Some of the riders looked as old as their bikes and everyone had a most enjoyable day.
Not too new Andy as it's 43 years old. Vehicles have to be 25 years old or older to qualify for running in VMCC events such as yesterday's run, although my section puts numerous social runs throughout the year where you can ride anything that's road legal.
I knew it had to be, ahem “getting on a bit” cos the Elsie is 40 years old where the hell did 40 years go
