Hi, just wondering if anyone can tell me when valve clearances are scheduled to be checked on a 2016 Tiger sport please?
    Cheers Stu

Usually on most modern Triumphs, 12,000 miles.

12K is the recommend timescale. but I have a 955 and checked the clearances at 18K and 22K they were still top tolerance so I wouldn't worry about them at 12K

Others experiences may not be yours. It could well be an expensive mistake to make that assumption, I would check them otherwise you are just rolling a dice. I just did my Daytona 1200 and the service book says they were done 4K miles ago, on inspection six were out, one inlet was very badly closed in.

I have zero faith in dealers doing valve checks properly (or many other jobs for that matter). Its a time consuming job that requires the bike to be stone cold i.e. dropped off the day before.

My VFR never got its one done at 16k despite the dealer being adamant they had - I'd left a telltale which hadn't been disturbed. When I did it myself 6k later, 10 of the 16 were out of spec
