Hi all, New to the forum and just bought a Sprint 900. I started it today and noticed white smoke coming from the left pipe and not the right. White smoke I guess is steam and I've had this from both pipes on statup before and it didn't worry me, prob condensation. This was more than usual though so I felt the pots with my hand and the left side was getting hotter a lot quicker than the right (not sure about the middle pot). Checked the oil and found no water in the oil. The bike seems to run well and no misfiring so I'm baffled and just a little concerned. Is this normal for a triple? Any ideas anyone?
Hello and welcome...probably nothing to worry about...but if your suspecting a head gasket problem just buy yourself a sniffer test kit from eBay and check the coolant.
it may be coz it was parked up on the side stand and leaning over to the left?? keep an eye on the temp gauge but it will probably be fine
