    Mmmmm.... Faceache. :(

Owt anywhere for those of us who don't "do" faceache???

If indeed there is an "us". Seems to be EVERYONE except me that live their lives in the public domain.

I feel your pain. All of my mates on FB and that appears to be here a lot of events / ride outs are arranged. I choose not to be on Fb and a mate of mine has to let me know what rides outs etc are planned.
Also, a lot of good forums have shut down due to lack of use because all former members go to FB pages instead of supporting the forums...:mad:

Not a Facebook member, friend, user or what ever the social media brigade call themselves.

I've no interest in people who I've never met wanting to become my friend.

My friends are people who I get on with, who's company I enjoy and if ever in need we would help each other out.

    Dave.

I am on FB atm but only befriend folk that I know..... Which explains why the number is low :D BUT you don't have to have any friends you can just Like or Follow pages, be it a certain motorbike page, a celebrity page, a buy and sell page. You name it and there is probably a page for it. As long as your security settings are set so that folk who may post on a page that you have posted on can't see your personal details or information then it can be harmless.

I see it can have its uses, and can be great for people to keep in touch, but I know far too many people who have had their lives irreparably changed by people being "mischievous" shall we say?

My niece was recently admitted to hospital for an emergency operation. Everyone else in the family knew instantly thru FB, I found out when it was all done and dusted and someone could actually be bothered to let me know. Wasn't best pleased but what can you do??? Didn't have time they said. Found time to post pictures on FB tho...

Anyway, I have to admit I thought you meant the tourist trophy ...

Facebook equals waste book. Tried it and promptly dropped it - what an invasion of privacy, not my cuppa. It is a haven for those with a heightened sense of self importance and the inability to keep a secret. I am stateside and have a number of good muckers across the pond in the UK. Maybe it is an age thing but we just pick up the phone and talk.

I too thought the IOM when I saw "TT". Made my 1st pilgrimage this year for the Pre-TT Classic and will be back for more.
