    Hey Gang.
Was on a tour in Ohio and while tripping along lost my ability to shift. We were 40 bikes on a 'Drop & Sweep' ride when I pulled over to leave the bread crumb. I had no shifter. The pivot bolt had apparently broken off at the transmission casing. I thought this was odd since I used to beat my Honda thru parts in Ohio more aggressively. Anyway my friend from Ontario (also an engineer) broke away from our ride/lunch to return to our hub to retrieve a tow vehicle and trailer. We managed to repair the bike with from a hardware local store.
It was a surprise this bolt broke off where it did. Has anyone experienced the same problem?

It's quite simple. The bolt snapped off. Fixing with simple parts.
I don't have any photos of the casing where it broke off. I did have to a drill to make a hole for a Easy-Out.
My inquiry to the forum was purely a survey. How many other Trophy (or other Triumph) owners have had this issue?
    Thanks
    David
