Hello Everyone, I had the Fuel tank and airbox removed today to check the coils and spark plugs for sparks, all OK. While I was in this area i discovered 2 block connectors that seem to be unused. I checked and its not off the air box or the thermostat housing. One is Black a male connection with 3 female lucar connectors. The other one is Grey and red at the back of it. A female connector the kind used on airbox and thermostat housing. Can anyone explain what these connectors are for. Please see attached image. Thanks Steve.
The grey one is most likely to be for emissions control for the USA market and unused on our bikes, the black one, dunno, assuming there’s nothing it obviously connects to could it be for an alarm, genuine Triumph one?
If the bike was running well before and you know you didn't disconnect them just leave as they are. Triumph , like many other companies use one wiring loom for many markets
They are left overs from a shared wiring loom with the flat 4 cylinder they produced, Just leave it its right.
Hello Everyone Thanks for advice. I bought the bike only 90% complete and still to get it running so I am sytimatically going through a check list. It turns over its sparking as per recent post. Only thing I can not check yet is the injectors and fuel presure. I was concerned that something was not plugged in when I found these connectors. Thanks Steve.
