Hello all, DanF here. I had some sort of catastrophic failure in the engine my Thunderbird 1700. Im investigating the problem. The local dealer wanted a grand just to open the cases. Im trying to do it myself. Ive got the engine out of the bike and will try and tear it down next week. Im not used to parallel twins and this engine is way more sophisticated than the V twin I have experience of ( Sportster ). Ive got the manual but it's pretty sparse, any advice, tips and experience of tearing down a Thunderbird 1700 would be hugely appreciated. Cheers, Dan F
