I wanted to get a tail tidy and found the man cave had done a YouTube video on how to modify the triumph rear fender so I managed to pick one up on eBay for a reasonable price and went to town on it. This is the outcome I need a new number plate as I had to move the screws, and definitely need new indicators so any recommendations will be great. I also blanked my number plates on the picture because I know how it can be annoying
It is UK legal specification which is very strict with regard plate size and letter positioning. Unfortunately that is what we are forced to have, or risk a fine
You can go a little bit smaller on the UK plate, but still be legal. I did the Man Cave Street Twin 'DIY' tail tidy on my Street Twin, he went for a display plate, that looks great but isn't legal. Whilst I know most get away with a slightly smaller than legal plate, I went with a legal plate from JDM as this seemed about the narrowest of the companies that make legal plates as small as possible. It would have been narrower still if there was a '1'. I still need to move the indicators out a little and found TEC sell a little spacer that I could use with a little tweak.
The man caves videos are really helpful, I will have to have a look at jdm, as I do want the smallest but legal plate, I have a 1 on my plate so I might be able to get it slightly smaller, I’m not sure what indicators to go for I just keep looking and can’t decide and notso your bike is lovely looks really nice

You can almost just consider those plates to be a fender as they appear large enough to function that way!
