Hi all, so after a short hiatus I’m getting another bike due to starting a new job with a crappy commute and lack of parking at the hospital I will be working at. So I’m going for a Tiger 800 XRX with heated grips and fog lights under triumph approved scheme. But I’m also after some adventure styled clothing and interested in the triumph navigator kit. However can not find any trousers in a 36” so if anyone is looking to sell I’d be interested. Also does anyone know best size jacket for a 44-45” chest as some sites say the jackets come up a bit small so I was thinking an XL. Thanks Gavin
Thanks for the offer - I’m specifically after an enduro style set up as I prefer modern textiles over leather. And thanks for the welcome
You should find something in the Merlin or Weise ranges at Sportsbikeshop more competitively priced than the branded Triumph gear.
Welcome to the forum, I've foin icon textiles to be pretty good..have a raiden jacket looks quite good.
Hi Gavin, and welcome in I've got Held textiles which I rate very highly if that's any help. Plenty around in www.fc-moto.de or www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk
Hi Mate, Welcome to the forum, I am not really a textile man so can’t offer any advise but plenty on here can.
Hi and welcome to the forum. I have had a Tiger XRx for almost three years now and cant fault the bike (my only mistake was not fitting heated grips but that's down to me). I bought a Triumph adventure style jacket in a sale, £75 instead of £275, so worth checking out for. Total Triumph Taunton seem to do them more often than others. I'm a 42" chest and have the large size jacket and its a comfy fit so would suggest you go XL.
Only thing I can say with clothing is actually attend a shop as buying online is a disappointment when it comes to figment. I had a large leather screaming eagle jacket that was a snide which was far too small even though it said large and I also had a textile jacket which stated XS which was massive!
Hi and welcome..... I would also suggest you go to a store to size your kit. I hope you find something that meets your requirements and costs. Wessa
Welcome Gavin. Sounds like you're an XL mate. Go and try some on. You don't have to buy. Then check out Ebay.
Welcome aboard Gavin, hope you enjoy the forum, as well advised above, probably a good idea to try on a few pairs of trousers and the same for jackets in store, you can then compare prices online and buy there if cheaper, have fun on your new steed but take it easy if you've had a break from riding, all the best in your new job too.
Thanks for the welcome. Bagged one of these for £70 (yep £70 that arrived today). Pick up my Tiger 800 XRX tomorrow. Only told the wife tonight ♂️
