You might get a tug for that, the old bill were at the H cafe oxford last summer dishing out tickets for anything that wasn’t legal.

The size of plate isn’t mandated. You can get smaller than blackboard sized plates made up so long as font size is correct (smaller than car plate letters), letter width/spacing (10mm), height between lines (11mm) and distance from letter to the edge of the plate (10mm) are all correct. You then need the manufacturers name/post code and the BS standard on the bottom. In theory the plate for the reg A1 could be ridiculously small..

It’s a hassle to get them made in the uk because of all the anti crime regs needing your vehicle paperwork. Places in Ireland do it over the interweb and conform to all the standard but are a sensible size for a bike.

Don’t quote me on the measurements - I couldn’t be arsed to look them up so used the old memory retrieval system, which is known to be flawed...

Centre stand fitted this morning, pretty straight forward, did however notice the rear brake pipe badly corroded where it crosses the frame in front of the rear wheel, will replace with copper pipe next week. Ball joints on gear selector rod also badly worn, new ones ordered, not what I expected on a bike less than 3 yrs old.

Heel & toe, not sure about the heel bit though, only using the traditional toe bit do far

Cracking machine tell us all about the ride today. How's that grin. Don't worry about it as nursey and Triumph are working on a fix for it. Nursey will administer it with your meds. Not a good thing to put your number on forums though never know who's looking. Although I did aswel not knowing. Bet it cost a pretty penny.
    Ride Safe & Enjoy.

SAI & lambda sensors removed today & replaced with bungs etc. Alarm fitted, ready for a ride tomorrow to see if the modifications have made much difference, then it’s just a case of getting her looking like new again. The ‘new’ riding position is taking some getting used to, but

There’s quite a bit of play at the pivot point of the gear pedal too, but this shouldn’t ‘fail’, if the ball joints wear too much they will fall apart & you won’t be able to change gear. I ordered two replacements off eBay for about a tenner.
